Cats Needing Homes in Devon & Cornwall

Hugh is a very handsome 4 year old smokey grey tom. He is a very affectionate boy who loves a bit of fuss. His tail is always up ready for a gentle stroke or better still a chin rub! Every morning he is sat waiting on the shelf in his foster pen, from where he can see his fosterer's kitchen window. There he can fix them with his remarkable green eyes to let them know that his breakfast must come before their first coffee!

He loves affectionate people and would probably suit an older family. We are pretty sure he would be prepared to share his new home with a small, placid, cat friendly dog, if properly introduced. Of course he would love access to a safe garden away from busy roads.

If you would like some more information, please call 01803 266 321. As a genuine and responsible animal charity, all our domestic cats are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, deflead and health checked - all of which would cost our charity over £130 for each cat we care for. We ask if you would kindly consider making a donation of £50 to our charity when you adopt a cat or kitten from us. Thank you.

These two fluffy sisters are a couple of proper little puddings! Recently they have been nibbling far too many of the tasty biscuits that their foster family have been giving them.
They could now do with a lovely new home and, hopefully, a quiet, cat-safe garden to exercise and hopefully get fit in, away from busy roads.
Martha in particular can be a little shy and aloof which is completely the opposite of her affectionate sister Diana who just loves a cuddle.
Martha and Diana are 3 years old and have previously lived with a large, gentle, cat friendly dog, and a quiet, older child, whose bed they were often found sharing at night!
If you are interested in offering them a forever home then please contact our Helpline on 01803 266321.

black catThe Devon and Cornwall Branch covers a large area in the south west and so we find ourselves often called on to help with trapping, neutering and general feral work; as well as taming kittens and taking in domestic cats who have fallen on hard times.

We are in real need of Volunteer Fosterers (for more information on what this entails please see the 'News' page), to foster the ever increasing number of domestic cats who need our help.

Our Volunteer Fosterers offer a temporary home environment to a cat (or more than one cat - if appropriate!) until they can be permanently adopted.

We have so many different cats needing a temporary place to stay - there may be mums with kittens; adult cats; elderly cats; sick cats; or feral kittens needing lots of handling and socialisation.

We are also in need of volunteers to join the Branch to help raise funds to pay for the ever increasing vet, food and litter bills!

The Branch is busy and so any help you can offer would be gratefully received!

We also (of course!) have cats who desperately need their forever home.

The CAT Shop - Totnes

The Devon & Cornwall Branch also runs the fantastic CAT Shop in Totnes.

The charity shop sells a variety of good quality items such as clothes, bric-a-brac, books and music; and we are always looking for stock. If you have had a clear out and have any saleable items to donate we would love to hear from you!

Please do think of us if you live locally, if you are visiting the area on holiday or even just passing through.

We would also be grateful if our supporters could spread the word and speak to friends, family and colleagues to see if they have any goods to donate. The more items we have to sell, the more funds we can raise to help cats in need.

Items can be dropped off at the shop during shop opening hours, which are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. The address is 74 Fore Street, Totnes, Devon TQ9 5RU.

We are also looking for more volunteers to help run the shop. We are always grateful to our volunteers, however few or many hours they can give. Without the support of our dedicated and friendly team we would not be able to raise as much as we do for cats. Thank you!

If you are interested in volunteering, want to donate some goods or have any other charity shop questions, please give us a call on 01803 266 321.
