Cats Needing Homes

Handsome Bagheera is a two year old puss looking for a new home. Bagheera loves to be around other cats as he had lived with them before he came to us. He can be a little shy until he gets to know you and then gives you purrs and headbutts and will be your best friend. Bagheera is fine with older children but nervous of little ones. He is an indoor puss and so is looking for a cozy indoor home where he can be loved. If you would like some more information on this super chap please give us a call on 07753 697 238. As a genuine and responsible animal charity, all our domestic cats are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, deflead and health checked - all of which will have cost our charity well over £130 for each cat we care for. We ask if you would kindly consider a donation of £50 to our charity when you adopt a cat or kitten from us. Thank you.

Milo is a four year old stunning long haired tabby. He is extremely friendly and sociable, he loves people and likes to tell them how much he wants to be fussed over. Milo is used to children having lived in a home with them before. We are unsure if he would settle in a home with other pets as he has never been around other cats or dogs. He is an indoor puss and so he is looking for a home with someone around to give him the attention he loves. If you would like some more information about Milo, please contact us on 07753 697 238. About us

The Cat Action Trust consists of a national network of volunteers working to save cats from a life of hunger, hardship and abuse. We don't discriminate and try to help any cat however they come to us, whether they are stray, feral, abandoned or lost.

The North East Scotland Branch was founded in May 2018 and aims to improve the quality of life of such cats in our area.

We are run totally by a team of volunteers who are dedicated to the welfare of cats.

What we do

We are very much a self-funding branch and therefore we depend on the goodwill and generosity of the public for donations to help needy cats and kittens in our area.

Rehoming / Adopting

If you are looking to adopt a cat or kitten then we would arrange for a home visit to be carried out. Home visits are nothing to worry about, it's just about finding the right cat the right home.

Lost / Found Cats

If you have a missing cat or there is one hanging around and you feel it could be lost, we can offer advice and assistance.

Outdoor / Feral Cats

A large part of the North East of Scotland is rural, with farms and properties which are rather isolated. In such areas we often receive reports of feral colonies. We try to assist with TNR (trap, neuter, return) wherever we can as neutering the cats will stop more and more from being born. We also ensure that the cats are fit and well. We can sometimes assist with relocating once neutered, if the cats aren't able to remain on their site or it is unsafe for them to stay.

Support Us

We support colonies of feral cats, feeding them daily, taking them to the vets if unwell, and ensuring that they are regularly treated for fleas and worms. Food for these cats is always greatly appreciated, so if your own cat is fussy and doesn't like some flavours, we have some ferals who would be happy to help out with your surplus!

You can also help us with fundraising, and could even set up a direct debit for a small monthly amount which would be of great benefit to the cats.

Copper is around 2 years old and is a handsome ginger boy. He arrived as a shy stray and has been described as a nice lad without a bad bone in him! He does take a bit of time to get to know you, so he is looking for a patient, loving home. Copper loves being around other cats. If you would like some more information about Copper please contact us on 07753 697 238.
