Cats Needing Homes in Lanarkshire

No result...

Long hair catWe are a small Lanarkshire based cat rescue organisation, who are run totally by a team of cat concerned volunteers, based throughout the Lanarkshire area. Having fosterers in Airdrie, Kirkfieldbank (Lanark), Carluke and Braehead(Forth). Our charity is concerned primarily with the welfare of stray, fertal, abandoned, unwanted domestic cats and who are dedicated purely to the welfare of these cats. This branch was founded in September 1999 to try to better cope with the sheer volume of cats requiring help in Lanarkshire. We have been able to help about 500 cats/kittens per annum and strive to really improve these cats/kittens quality of life.

We also run neutering and subsidised neutering programmes. We are very much a self-funding branch, who receive no government funding whatsoever. As such we have to rely totally on the generosity of the general public for donations to continue to exist to be able to help needy cats/kittens in this area. Sometimes if we have shelter space we also help cats/kittens out within this area.

If you feel you can help by giving a very much needed donation to our branch or help by possibly joining our team of cat volunteers especially to help on the fundraising side as we have no fundraising dedicated team. Then please, get in touch on tel: 01555-664867 or 0871-890-3034. Without your help and generosity, we simply would not be able to exist to help the sheer number of cats and kittens we do year after year. Please by all means also contact us with any queries/enquiries preferably by e-mailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 0871-890-3034. We usually have many kittens and some cats for homing. If you are interested in homing the many cats and kittens we have looking for either a loving domestic home for the friendly kitties and/or a feral cat for an outside home with regular food and shelter. See our cats to home section when up and running or www.catchat.org/lanark/ and best to contact the fosterer direct who is fostering the cat or kitten or Tel:- 01555-664867 or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. Other ways we can help:-If you have a cat with kittens and wish to re-home the kittens, through ourselves to vetted, good homes, in return for the neutering of your female cat. It would come as free of charge, but at selected vets only.

You are interested in volunteering. Especially on the fundraising side of things or even heading up the fundraising for us or becoming one of the fundraising team!

We can provide lower cost micro-chipping.

If you are interested in receiving and setting-up a direct debit instruction, to help our charity on a regular basis, month-on-month. Which is a tremendous help to us and much appreciated and needed indeed.

You have a stray, feral, pregnant cat or kittens and needing our help to neuter and/or re-home them.

If you are trying to catch an elusive cat and need our help with trapping equipment, neutering, etc.

If you are interested in our subsidised neutering. Redeemable at selected vets only.

If you have a cat problem and are seeking advice. Or for any other cat related issue…

Then please contact us on either 0871-890-3034 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We are a registered charity but are not government funded, so we really need people to make donations to our local branch direct, so that we can continue with the vital local cat resue work we do. At CAT Lanarkshire we really need your help right now, so we can continue to help another cat tommorrow. Please contact us for our CAT bank details if you wish to help our local cats in need or for a direct debit instruction which we can easily e-mail out to you. Your help is so much appreciated indeed to help the cats within and surrounding Lanarkshire, Scotland.
